After having visited Savannah, GA / Philadelphia, PA and Baltimore, MD, this is our second day in Washington DC.
United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
Adjacent to the National Mall in Washington, D.C., the USHMM provides for the documentation, study, and interpretation of Holocaust history.
It is dedicated to helping leaders and citizens of the world confront hatred, prevent genocide, promote human dignity, and strengthen democracy.
We have spent 6 long hours in this museum, deep diving on all the aspects from the Shoah.
This was a very emotional visit for us.
I encourage you to definitely go there in order to learn new facets about the Shoah.
I would summarize this visit by the following quote from Elie Wiesel.

Art is everywhere
I run every day in the National Mall.
There’s nothing like arriving on the National Mall for the very first tim, seeing the Washington Monument rise majestically to the sky, surrounded by the U.S. Capitol Building at one end and the Lincoln Memorial at the other.
The National Mall is America’s most-visited national park, where the past, present and future come together.
You can find very nice piece of parts between the museums, official buildings and memorials.

George Town
We have spent some time in George Town, which is a charming area with Federal-style architecture, fashion and design shops.
The dining scene is defined by upmarket restaurants and waterfront seafood spots. You can also find intimate live music lounges.
Georgetown Waterfront Park has a riverside promenade and gardens. There is also a bike path along the C&O Canal.
