U.S East Coast Road Trip Day #6 # Washington DC

After having visited Savannah, GA / Philadelphia, PA and Baltimore, MD, we finally arrived to Washington DC.This was our first time in DC amd we loved it so much.

  • White House

  • Our hotel was 3 blocks away and we could not miss it.
  • Queens of Egypt

  • We started with with a very nice exhibition from National Geographic.
  • During this exhibition, you ca. Travel back in time and visit ancient Egypt, one of the world’s greatest civilizations, and get to know some of its lesser-known leaders—Egypt’s mighty queens.
  • You will Learn about the hidden role of women in all aspects of Egyptian society. You will also meet seven Egyptian queens whose impact helped shape both the ancient and modern worlds.
  • National Museum of African American History & Culture

This is an amazing museum opened in 2016 and is already in the top 4 most visited museum in DC.

There is so much history in here. I really love it and I want to go back.

The bottom three floors go back in time and allow you to see the start of the Slave Trade and walk your way to the present.

The upper floors focus on the contributions of African Americans to art, music, culture, sport, … This is truly inspiring.
