As previously mentioned, I am excited to share excerpts from my upcoming book. As we progress to the Black Belt level, we delve into sophisticated AI frameworks that can revolutionize our GTM strategy. These advanced frameworks provide a more nuanced and comprehensive approach to integrating AI into our business processes, from assessing readiness to implementing governance and optimizing value chains.

In this section, we’ll explore four key frameworks:

  1. AI Readiness Assessment
  2. AI Project Canvas
  3. AI Governance Framework
  4. AI Value Chain

Each of these frameworks offers unique insights that can significantly improve our ability to leverage AI effectively, optimize our GTM efforts, and drive business growth. Moreover, we’ll discuss how AI can be leveraged to enhance the application of these frameworks, introducing the concept of a Black Belt GTM AI Agent that can assist in these more complex AI strategy implementations.

AI Readiness Assessment

The AI Readiness Assessment helps organizations evaluate their preparedness for AI implementation across various dimensions.

Framework Overview:
This assessment focuses on key areas such as data infrastructure, technical capabilities, organizational culture, and strategic alignment.

As we advance to the Black Belt level, we can envision a more sophisticated AI agent that can assist with these advanced AI frameworks. This Black Belt GTM AI Agent, AIStrategist, would be designed to handle more complex analyses and provide deeper insights into AI strategy and implementation.

Capabilities of AIStrategist:

  1. AI Readiness Analysis: Continuously assess and update the organization’s AI readiness, suggesting improvements and tracking progress.
  2. AI Project Planning: Assist in creating and optimizing AI Project Canvases, suggesting relevant AI techniques and potential data sources.
  3. Governance Monitoring: Ensure AI initiatives align with the governance framework, flagging potential issues and suggesting policy updates.
  4. Value Chain Optimization: Identify new opportunities for AI integration in the value chain and predict the impact of AI implementations.
  5. Cross-Framework Integration: Synthesize insights across all four frameworks, providing a holistic view of the organization’s AI strategy.
  6. Predictive AI Impact Modeling: Use historical data and machine learning to forecast the potential impact of AI initiatives on business outcomes.
  7. Real-time AI Strategy Adjustment: Continuously monitor KPIs and suggest real-time adjustments to AI strategies based on changing market conditions.

Hands-On Exercise: AI-Driven GTM Strategy for Sustainable Running Shoes

To help you apply the concepts we’ve covered in this chapter, let’s engage in a practical exercise. This hands-on activity will allow you to put your newfound knowledge into action and develop a comprehensive AI-driven GTM strategy.

Scenario: You are the Chief AI Officer for “SmartGuard,” a new brand launching an innovative AI-powered home security system. Your task is to develop a comprehensive AI-driven GTM strategy using the four frameworks we’ve discussed in the Black Belt chapter.

Exercise Steps:

  1. AI Readiness Assessment: Conduct an AI Readiness Assessment for SmartGuard. Identify the current state, target state, and gaps for each dimension. Propose three key action items.
  2. AI Project Canvas: Create an AI Project Canvas for implementing an AI-driven sustainable material optimization system for SmartGuard’s running shoes.
  3. AI Governance Framework: Develop a basic AI Governance Framework for SmartGuard. For each governance area, propose one principle, one policy, and one procedure.
  4. AI Value Chain: Map out the AI Value Chain for SmartGuard. For each stage of the business process, identify one specific AI application and describe its added value.
  5. Integration: Explain how insights from your AI Value Chain could inform your AI Readiness Assessment or AI Project Canvas. Provide at least two specific examples.

As you work through the exercise, consider how each decision you make in one framework might impact the others. This holistic thinking is key to developing a robust and effective AI-driven GTM strategy.
